The offer is financed at low cost for the parents as part of child day care. Further offers of the school are being considered, especially for grades 5 and 6 in cooperation with the Milow youth club.

3. Individual study times

Individual learning times serve to promote each individual child. Both high-performing and low-performing students are encouraged according to their own personal needs.

The individual learning times usually take place in the last learning block. Teachers and educators work closely together during these times. In the individual learning times, the classes are divided into groups depending on the children's learning needs. Agreements on the tasks and support measures are made between the teacher, educator and, if necessary, special education teacher. Children with special educational needs are fully integrated. By using a variety of learning methods, such as partner, group and project work as well as student sponsorship and the use of various media, students develop both independence and social skills. The school assignments can be done independently and / or under the guidance of a teacher or an educator. By practicing and consolidating certain lesson contents, determined learning deficits can be compensated or eliminated. Sports and games in the fresh air are part of the individual learning times several times a week.

In grades 1 to 3, teachers and educators are present at the individual learning times. From grade 4 a teacher is responsible for this.

4. Homework culture

Homework is given in accordance with the provisions of the Brandenburg Schools Act, depending on the grades and with a variation in the amount of time.

The pupils have the opportunity to do most of their tasks in school:

Classes 1 and 2 daily as part of the individual learning times Classes 3 and 4 twice a week in the individual learning times and as part of day care classes 3 to 6 in day care

5. Cooperation partner

The Inge-Sielmann-Grundschule Milow works with several institutions, clubs, associations and individuals as cooperation partners for all-day school education and upbringing. The aim is always to combine work in a profitable way for all areas of school life, both for teaching and for leisure activities and for certain projects that accompany the school year. The main cooperation partner for the whole day is the Milow day care center. The pedagogical staff of the day care center works in close cooperation with the teachers in the individual study times and offers varied child day care. Regular monthly meetings between the daycare and school management and the responsible teacher facilitate exchange, organization and various arrangements, i.e. the evaluation of everyday work. In accordance with our green profile, the cooperation with the Heinz Sielmann Foundation and the local NABU location has proven itself and is constantly being expanded.

For example, a member of the Nature Watch runs a weekly working group “On the trail of nature”, in which the children show great interest. The annual project days in spring in a near-natural context are supported by the Heinz Sielmann Foundation.

The work with many other cooperation partners has proven itself and will be continued. The Friends of Inge Sielmann Elementary School Milow has continuously expanded its support for the school. The members of the association support the organization of school parties and school celebrations through financial as well as personal help. The development association organizes cooperation and contacts with sponsors. Other collaborations that shape our work exist with some schools and institutions in the region. The Oberschule Premnitz has been a good cooperation partner for us for years, with whom we prepare our students, especially in the 6th grade, for the transition to secondary level I.

Interns get to know the whole day and support the teachers and social workers in all-day school education.

Cooperation partners who support us in organizing the children's leisure time are sports clubs, the local music school, AFP Premnitz and many individuals.

6. Space

The Inge-Sielmann-Grundschule Milow has a generous amount of space both for the organization of the lessons as well as for the area of the additional afternoon offers during the whole day.

More details can be found in the room concept.

7. Concept development process

Since 2003 representatives of the institutions involved, in particular the municipal administration, the day care center and the primary school, have been working together on the planning and design of all-day school education.

By 2004, a concept for the establishment of a primary school with open all-day courses had been worked out. This concept was used for two years. In the evaluation process, the different financing of after-school care offers and open leisure offers for parents turned out to be problematic.

After various discussions and consultations with the community representatives, the youth welfare of the district HVL, the school board responsible for all-day care and the parents, the school conference decided in the school year 2006 about the change to the VHG.

From the 2006/07 school year, the VHG model was used at our school. The financing model was developed with all parties involved to be particularly family-friendly. There are no fees from Tuesdays to Thursdays. The revised concept was developed by a school-internal all-day concept group, which consisted of the Kita management, the school management, an educator and two teachers. A representative from the municipal administration was invited to some of the meetings in order to coordinate certain content-related positions. The school conference passed a resolution in September 2012.

In 2020 the all-day concept was revised and adapted.

8. In-school evaluation

The evaluation of the positions laid down in the all-day concept took place throughout the year in the work of the school committees in close connection with the evaluation of the school program. For this purpose, teacher conferences, parent conference conferences, conferences of the student representatives, school conferences and advice with the school and daycare provider are used. In regular consultations (monthly) with the closest cooperation partner, Kita Milow, the tasks of daily cooperation are discussed. The main areas of advice in all committees are:

Lessons and individual learning time for child day care

The implementation of the educational goals and the all-day-specific work priorities are documented in the minutes of the relevant school committees.

9. Support and training planning

The planning of support and further training will be discussed and decided in detail in the next teachers' conference.
