1.2 Statements on school development, school environment, staffing levels

Since the 2004/2005 school year, the primary school has been offering open all-day programs. The change to the reliable half-day elementary school (VHG) took place in the 2006/2007 school year. In April 2007, the Inge Sielmann primary school in Milow was expanded to include the nature-loving profile. With the 2002/2003 school year, the school began to be designed in the direction of all-day education and upbringing as well as a bond with nature and the environment. We worked continuously on these processes and initiated developments that describe the current situation.

School operations are predominantly characterized by a calm and child-friendly atmosphere. The lessons focus on methodologically diverse and project-oriented work with the children. Over the years, a good interaction between the teachers, the other educational staff and the parents has emerged. In particular, parents are involved in teaching projects, for example as “reading mothers” if necessary. Approx. 80% of our students take advantage of additional all-day offers.

They take place in the form of working groups in the school or with cooperation partners and in the form of supervision in the day care center and school. All offers on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday are free of charge. There are only small fees for material costs (5.00 € per school half year). In recent years, it has been particularly important for the team at Inge-Sielmann-Grundschule Milow to enable all children to have equal access to what the school has to offer, with the establishment and organization of all-day education and upbringing.

The school is located outside the center of Milow in the middle of wooded areas and meadows. In the building itself there is a generous amount of space, which enables each class to have its own classroom. In addition, there are specialist, division and project rooms available. The equipment was partly financed by grants from the state government's all-day program. The equipment with teaching and learning material can be described as good and is sufficiently supplemented and expanded every year. There is an atmosphere of mutual help, support and positive togetherness in the teaching staff. Problems are disclosed and discussed with one another. The teaching work is coordinated; in the event of a teacher failure, it is a principle to keep the teaching failure as low as possible.

2. Basic pedagogical orientation

All-day school education and upbringing shape the development of our students and our school.

Everyday school life is organized according to all-day school aspects. All partners contribute to this. We attach particular importance to interlinking with all partners, but especially with the Milow and Bahnitz day care centers. Educators work on the individual learning times throughout the day. We ensure that as many children as possible take part in additional afternoon activities.

2. Experiencing, discovering and preserving nature are very important to us, both in class and in our free time.

The children develop a positive basic feeling for nature and their environment. They discover, respect, protect and preserve living beings and plants. The pupils find many valuable spaces for discovery and experience in nature. They develop and expand their creativity, joy in experimentation and their own The girls and boys help to shape the SCHOOL learning and living space themselves according to ecological criteria.

3. Integration and support are part of everyday school life.

The pupils develop tolerance towards other people and learn to deal with individual differences. Pupils with intellectual disabilities and other special needs are trained in joint lessons.

Under the aspect of personal development, the students learn to accept their own strengths and weaknesses and also to change them. You take on and bear responsibility for your own actions and for the group. Individual activity and initiative are encouraged in everyday school life. You develop tolerance towards others.

3. Pedagogical goals and priorities

Implementation of the basic pedagogical orientation in everyday school life Inclusion of nature-based health and nature conservation in all-day school education and upbringing. This applies to the area of teaching as well as all-day school additional offers. Development of "Sielmann Traditions"

4. Expansion of the cooperation with the Milow and Bahnitz daycare centers

5. Perfection of the lesson organization in such a way that it optimally corresponds to the needs of the students. The individual learning times are integrated into the learning blocks, so that optimal support for each child is possible. In grades 1 to 3, educators and pedagogical assistants work with us.

6. With the organization of everyday school life, pupils learn to move around in regulated processes and to make certain things

Make commitments

4. Principles for the implementation of the framework plan specifications

All teachers work to constantly fulfill the framework curriculum specifications and to incorporate school profile-related education and upbringing. The teachers take part in in-school and supra-school specialist conferences, and further training opportunities are taken The principles of performance evaluation are reviewed annually in the relevant school committees on the basis of current legal requirements. These evaluations are sent to the students and parents for their information.

5. The course of education at our school

Pupils at the Inge-Sielmann-Grundschule Milow, who have different learning requirements and skills, are supported in a joint educational program. The funding aims to develop independent thinking, learning and working. Experiences and experiences are also collected in order to illustrate how human interaction can be shaped. Due to the close cooperation with the day care centers Milow and Bahnitz as well as a child-appropriate form of school-based learning, the children are adequately prepared for the educational path of the Inge-Sielmann-Grundschule Milow. After successfully completing primary school, the transition to the secondary level I course takes place, which is decided together with the students and their parents.

6. The educational offer of the Inge- Sielmann-Grundschule Milow

Lessons are given in grades 1 to 6 in a class group. In grades 5 and 6, learning takes place both in the class as well as in time-limited learning groups, which are divided according to skills, performance and inclinations. In the subjects German and mathematics, differentiated learning groups are formed for one hour per week.

The distribution of the key hours available according to the timetable is discussed in the participation committees at the suggestion of the teachers' conference and decided by the school conference. In grades 1 to 4 these were currently assigned to the mathematics or German departments. In grades 5 and 6, the class leader usually receives a special lesson in his subject and a further unit is assigned to the German or mathematics department, depending on the level of ability.

One hour is assigned to the inclination-differentiated lesson so that 3 to 4 offers are available for 2 classes across grades.

The primary school basically has an integrative educational approach. This is reinforced by our offer in the all-day school area with the individual learning times. In this way, through the internal differentiation, beyond the lessons, optimal learning results can be achieved for students with different learning dispositions. For this purpose, an individual support plan with objectives is drawn up and implemented.

7.2 Organization of the lesson

The pedagogical staff is committed to diverse teaching. The alternation of tension, relaxation and variety of teaching methods is very important for children in primary level for a continuous learning process. That is why the teaching staff at Inge-Sielmann-Grundschule Milow attach great importance to an equal coexistence of partner and group work, the alternation of freelance work and frontal teaching as well as the offer of project work. Performance assessments and assessments are also part of the lesson. The pupils get to know the new media and incorporate them into everyday school life.

8. Daily routine at the Inge- Sielmann primary school in Milow

The design of the daily routine is chosen so that an age-appropriate and child-friendly design meets the requirements of both the youngest schoolchildren and older elementary school students. The timetable is designed according to student requirements. There are three learning blocks per day, which in grades 1-4 contain individual learning times for students. Individual learning times are part of the all-day offer, but are integrated into the daily routine. In the afternoon there are open leisure activities.

9. The all-day school offer

The Inge-Sielmann-Grundschule Milow is a reliable half-day elementary school (VHG). It is compulsory for children to attend school from 7.45 a.m. to 1.35 p.m. During this time, the core of the lessons and the individual learning times are. Before the lesson, the open morning start from 7.15 a.m. creates a friendly atmosphere at the beginning of the school day. Early care is made possible by the Milow day care center from 6 a.m. This support is chargeable. After the lesson there are open offers in the form of working groups, projects and day care for children (approx. 10-12 offers). The open offers are organized by our cooperation partners such as Kita Milow, NABU, TSV Germania Milow, Music School Fröhlich or the Brandenburg State Fire Brigade Association (Freiwillige Feuerwehr Bahnitz / Milow). Teachers, freelance workers and individuals are also involved in this process. About 80% of our students are currently taking advantage of these open offers. The all-day offers are available on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Participation is free of charge for all children on these three days of the week. Only small fees are charged for material costs. Parents who need care have the option of early and late care at the Milow day care center from Monday to Friday after 1.35 p.m., before 7.15 a.m. and after 3.45 p.m. This offer is chargeable and is based on the Kita statutes of the municipality of Milower Land.

The all-day concept is therefore a very child and family-friendly offer in our region and offers sensible and varied leisure activities.

The leisure activities are constantly updated and adapted to the interests and inclinations of the children, taking into account the evaluation results and the school possibilities.

10. Integration and support at our school

A concern of our educational work is to support each child individually according to their possibilities. The aim is to use differentiation measures to support both children with learning difficulties and pupils with special talents. This support takes place both in the classroom and in the individual learning times, the individual learning plan supports this concern. Joint lessons are organized for children with special educational needs. Schooling together means that all children learn with and from one another. In addition, foreign-language children are encouraged so that they have better starting opportunities for their learning situation. All funding measures require personal requirements. For this purpose, there is a teacher at the Inge Sielmann primary school in Milow who is responsible for special needs education.

11. Transitions

11.1 Transition from day care center to primary school

Successful transition from daycare to elementary school is of essential importance for the educational biography of every child. In the 2009/10 school year, Inge-Sielmann-Grundschule Milow and the partners Kita Milow and Kita Bahnitz signed cooperation agreements.

The following forms of cooperation were agreed:

Coordination of the school enrollment process, mutual observation by teachers and educators, joint organization of parents' evenings, preschool events for future pupils in the school, implementation of joint cultural highlights during the year

11.2 Transition to secondary school at lower secondary level

In grades 5 and 6, with the beginning of the subject lesson, there is also orientation for the transition to the school form of lower secondary level I. Parents and students need good advice from the primary school. The entire staff of the Inge-Sielmann-Grundschule is of the opinion that a child can only achieve the best learning results if it chooses a school where it is challenged and encouraged.

In this way, parents are informed and advised at an early stage. In the 6th grade, the transition procedure to the secondary level then starts.

In order to make the transition to the 7th grade easier for the students, transparent and as informative as possible, the secondary schools, which work together with the Inge-Sielmann-Grundschule, have agreed to work together on this process.

The cooperation extends to the following areas:

Cooperation between teachers Cooperation between parents Events with pupils such as high school days and trial lessons
